Raised on a large livestock & grain farm in Indiana,attended Rose-Hulman and earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor inAeronautical Engineering. Spent 20 years at General Motors working in manyproduct development & manufacturing/process engineering positions. Awardeda GM Fellowship and was sent to Indiana University where he achieved a doublemajor MBA in Operations Management & Corporate Finance. Promoted to plantmanager at the GM division and later led the very large engineering organization.As GM left central Indiana and there was a need to stay close to the familyfarm to support its operations with his father, Greg transitioned to VPEngineering of North America for SMC Corporation for 3 yrs. Greg then co-foundeda medical device manufacturing company and operated it very successfully for 11years. At the beginning of 2019, he sold his interests in the company and after34 yrs. in manufacturing, looked to support high tech, start-up company ecosystems and not be confined to one factory / operation. He joined WHIN – WabashHeartland Innovation Network in April of 2019 as VP of Strategic Partnershipsin both the Ag & Mfg sectors operating within the Purdue Research Park.

CristianaVerissimo serves Boone and Montgomery counties as a Community WellnessCoordinator (CWC) with the Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program. As aCWC, her goal is to make the healthy choice the easy, practical, choice. Tothis end, she works with community partners to promote increased access to nutritiousfood and opportunities for physical activity, especially among those insituations of lower income. She can be involved in various initiatives rangingfrom community gardens, to local health coalitions, food pantries, activeliving, or school and worksite wellness.
Cristianahas served our county as a CWC for just over a year, and she is passionateabout cultivating relationships and collaborative teams towards common goals.In her free time, she enjoys hiking and kayaking with her husband, spendingtime with family and friends, and playing the piano!
