The Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club annually awards a $1,250 service scholarship to one graduating senior from each of the three Montgomery County Public High Schools. The Pat Cline Service Scholarships are named for Pat Cline, who was a journalist, editor and Viet Nam war correspondent from Crawfordsville. Ms. Cline was the winner of numerous awards including a Pulitzer Prize nomination, Sagamore of the Wabash and Paul Harris Fellow. Ms. Cline was very active in the community, providing service and leadership to the Visitor’s Bureau, Order of the Eastern Star, Woodland Heights Christian Church, Montgomery County Cultural Foundation, Montgomery County Historical Society, Indiana Women’s Press Club, Friends of the Library and the Strawberry Festival. Admired for her service and high standards of integrity as a journalist and person, she is honored by the Crawfordsville Kiwanis Club through these scholarships presented to those graduating seniors who exemplify the Kiwanis ideal of service to the community.

Hello Gary!
Thank you so much for your enthusiasm in working with us here at the Linden Carnegie Library! I would love to join you all and bring my director, Kathie Watkins as well, if that is acceptable, so that we can each tell you a little about the library. I can speak about the Summer Reading Program and the children's programs in general, and Kathie can tell you more about the library and its services. I was hoping to reach out and see if you had a date in April that could work for us to join you; the March date presents a scheduling conflict for us. I'm hoping we can work something out!
I'm also wondering about the presentation itself... how much time would you like us to take, and is there a screen and projector available to use if I can put some pictures together for you to see? I would love to show you a little about some of the programs we've done.
Thank you so much again for your invitation and your consideration in supporting our program; I'll be looking forward to hearing back from you! Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Amy King
